Waiting for coffee at Stimulus Cafe
The sun came out for the next two photos, it makes such a big difference!
We went to Cape Kiwanda this weekend, it’s about a mile north of Pacific City, between Lincoln City and Tillamook, Oregon. The coast is absolutely beautiful there. We got coffee at Stimulus Cafe and headed to the beach, it was cold and windy, but no rain! There is a spot if you climb up the sand dune (that’s on the right of the town) and then climb under the fence and walk around where you can sit and watch the ocean, feel the spray and relax. In the last photo you can see the girls. (Very tiny in the bottom right) After 20 minutes of sitting there Brittney and I got bored. So we decided to explore, I’m so glad we did! It was great to see the ocean and the shore from all the different perspectives. After exploring around the beach for about an hour we were hungry and went to the Pelican Pub and Brewery. The view of the beach from inside the pub was great, the wait staff was a little slow, it appeared they were all new summer help. We got some delicious clam chowder and fish and chips. The chips were beer battered and amazing! It was well worth the 2.5 hr drive to Cape Kiwanda for the terrific views and adventure.
On our way to the beach we passed a sign for sheridan. Janie was kinda convinced that it was Sheridan, wyo… quite comical. We also drove by this ginormous aviation museum, bunches of farms, wineries, moss covered trees, quaint fishing towns (hebo), and many other exciting sights.
